On our way we will visit - Power House Waterfalls - This waterfall on the way to Thekkady from Munnar cascades down a steep rock 2000 m above sea level. The spot is enriched with the scenic western mountain ranges and is an ideal place for a break on the way to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in Thekkady. Stay at Spice Village.
Periyar - Thekkady the very sound of the word Thekkady conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations. In the Periyar forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India, and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns that hold great opportunities for treks and mountain walks.

Pisces (fish): The Periyar Lake and streams have several species of fish including the masher, the famous and endangered game fish of India. The otter, the only mammal of the lake, can be frequently spotted from the boat.
Periyar - The pride of Kerala and a testimony to nature's splendor and human innovation, the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is situated on the banks of the Periyar lake - an artificial lake, at Thekkady. Here the high ranges of the Western Ghats are clothed in dense evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savannah grasslands. Below this thick green canopy roam herds of elephants, sambars, tigers, gaurs, lion-tailed macaques, and Nilgiri langurs.
This morning we drive to the town-Kumarakom. After breakfast transfer to houseboat which cruises along the palm-fringed waterways of Kerala in a luxury houseboat is the most enchanting holiday experience in India today. In this world of simple pleasures, you will skim past ancient Chinese fishing nets, water lilies, lush paddy fields, coir villages, rustic homes, temples, and coconut groves.
